In 2018 I was lucky enough to be invited to attend For The Love of Sci-Fi. This is a large TV, Movie and Comic Convention that takes place every December in Manchester.

Myself, along with 5 others were all invited to be live artists over the weekend. This involved creating an original painting featuring any of the guests of the convention. The featured guest would then sign the painting, before if went up for sale.

Being a Stranger Things fan, when I found out that Gaten Matarazzo & Caleb McLaughlin (Dustin & Lucas) would be attending, I knew straight away who I would be painting. In the weeks preceding the event I worked out a composition ready to paint over the weekend.
